The College Board has started the registration for the first SAT exam of the academic year on August 23. The deadline for SAT registration is August 8. Students who are interested in applying for the exam can complete the registration within the deadline on the official website — mysat.collegeboard.org/login. Students can log in if they have an account, and can create an account if they are first-timers.
In India, eligible students can also apply for the India Scholars Programme, which offers up to 90 per cent off on SAT registration for students from low-income backgrounds, along with access to merit-based scholarships at partner Indian universities. Alongside that, the College Board has announced the dates for the forthcoming examination.
Students who require a device for the digital SAT must request one at least 30 days before their selected test date. The College Board Device Lending Programme has this initiative, which ensures no student is held back due to a lack of access to technology.
To support student readiness, College Board offers free, official SAT practice through Khan Academy, as well as full-length digital mock tests via the Blueboo app. Students can visit the College Board’s official website for detailed information on the dates and registration deadlines.
Meanwhile, the College Board had announced the transition to digital formats. The shift will start from the May 2025 exams wherein AP English, AP Psychology, and AP Computer Science have been completed and transitioned to digital mode, while 12 exams, such as AP Biology and AP Chemistry, will adopt a hybrid approach, combining digital multiple-choice questions with traditional paper-based free-response sections.
