NEET UG 2025 Counselling NRI Conversion: The Medical Council Committee (MCC) has approved the conversion of 188 candidates from Indian to NRI status for the NEET UG 2025 counselling process. These candidates are required to submit their scanned documents to MCC via email at ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com, no later than August 3, 2025. The list of NRI candidates was compiled following a thorough review of documents submitted by applicants, ensuring compliance with the eligibility criteria set by MCC.

“The eligibility of candidates for seats reserved for NRI is ‘Provisional’ based on the documents submitted by the candidates which will be verified by the allotted college authorities at the time of reporting and the Embassy Certificate will be sent to the Ministry of External Affairs/ respective High Commissions for verification,” read the notification.

NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Documents Required for NRI Category Admission

–NEET UG scorecard issued by NTA
–Self-attested declaration confirming the candidate is NRI/OCI/PIO or a child of NRI parents
–OCI/PIO card of the candidate (if applicable)
–NRI Embassy certificate issued for either the candidate or their parent

NRIs intending to secure admission in MBBS or BDS programmes are required to present their original documents during college reporting. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of their seat eligibility. According to NRI guidelines, only candidates who possess the embassy certificate will be deemed eligible for seats designated for the NRI category. A self attested declaration is also attached in the notification of the MCC.

Meanwhile, MCC had extended the registration deadline for round one counselling for PwBD candidates. As per the revised schedule, the last date to complete the NEET UG registration is August 3, 2025. Various PwBD candidates mailed the Committee on the delay in obtaining certificates from designated disability centres; in view of this, MCC has extended the deadline. The seat allotment for the NEET UG 2025 round one will be released on August 6.
