Neeraj Chopra NC Classic 2025 Match Result Live Updates: Neeraj Chopra took the lead with the 2nd attempt, then retook the lead with his third throw to thrill the Bengaluru crowd at the inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic in Bengaluru. After a foul throw to start, Neeraj went up to 82.99 and then 86.18m, and the latter was enough to hand him the title in front of nearly 15,000 who attended the event. Kenya’s Julius Yego finished 2nd with Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage coming in third.

Chopra realised a dream tonight as the inaugural NC Classic 2025 is something he had been hoping to see happen for a while now. Neeraj, who has been busy in the lead up with multiple responsibilities, eventually did he what he does best… compete and win. Deeply involved in the World Athletics Category A event’s planning and execution, the two-time Olympic medallist has even touched upon the smallest details, including the food for international athletes. In the end, there was relief as the event came to pass.

Chopra expressed immense joy at seeing his vision come to life, recalling his inspiration from watching elite javelin throwers train. “If I talk about the business side, for me right now the only aim is to make this event a success. That is my focus. That the NC Classic is happening, that in itself is a big thing. Rest of the things don’t matter now. I want to promote the sport,” he said on the eve of the inaugural NC Classic.
